The El Dorado County Ad Hoc Cannabis Committee, composed of two County Board of Supervisors and the county staff implementing the commercial cannabis policy in El Dorado County, has met twice in the month of February. The first meeting what's about the development of new ordinances authorizing manufacturing, testing laboratories, and nurseries in the county. The second meeting held earlier this week discussed the tax rate for cannabis cultivation and other activities. The county will set a specific tax rate pursuant to their new commercial cannabis ordinances. The Alliance recommended a tax rate of 1.5% for commercial cultivation of adult-use cannabis and 1% for the cultivation of medical cannabis.
